Gender and Sexual Identity

Identity fluidity is a beautiful aspect of our human existence. Therapy can be an excellent place to explore questions, thoughts, feelings and experiences about the gender and sexuality aspects of yourself. I am a compassionate, confidential female therapist with experience working with queer communities, transgender, gender non-conforming folks and people within alternative sexuality/relationship communities. I provide support and resources as you explore your identity and all the changes that can come with that journey. Often, but not always, people experience feelings of anger, guilt or shame that may result in depression and anxiety due to identity issues. I can work with you to ease that process in order to embrace the joy that we all deserve in our lives.

I am also able to assist your loved ones through transitions and work with you to help obtain the documentation needed for the gender transition process, including DMV letters, passport, identification and medical letters.

Online Therapy
It can be difficult to find an experienced therapist who works with people on gender and sexual identity issues in some geographical areas. I believe that everyone should have access to counseling with a therapist that is experienced, knowledgable and gender affirmative. To meet this need I offer therapy via telephone or online video chat for people who live outside the area but still in Oregon as that is where I am licensed to practice therapy.

Special areas of practice:

LGBTQI, Gay, Lesbian, Queer, Gender Non-conforming, Gender Identity, Transgender Therapy, Transitioning, Bisexual, Genderqueer, Bisexual, Crossdressing, Polyamorous, Kinky, Sex-Positive, Asexual, Pansexual, Intersex, Heteroflexible, Straight, Radical Therapy, Coming out and Questioning folks.
